The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the National Centre for Technology Management ((NACETEM), Ile Ife, Osun State, has kicked against the appointment of Olushola Odusanya, as the director general of the institute.
Odusanya’s appointment was part of the last-minute ones made and announced by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
In a statement, yesterday, the branch Chairman, NASU NACETEM, Funminiyi B. Gbadamosi, said Odusanya’s appointment was done in uttermost disrespect to constituted authorities, the President, and the laws of this country.
The body also stated that it dissociated its members entirely from what it described as illegality superintended by the minister, saying, “it will not recognise or receive any outcome of such illegal and illegitimate process.” It warned that any attempt, particularly from the minister and any of his cohorts, to further provoke the union on the matter, would be met with the stiffest resistance possible under the ambits of the law.
