Membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria rose by 825 under the 15th administration of the Immediate President of the institute, Mr Adesina Adedayo.

Speaking on its activities in the last one years, he said his strategic focus as the 15th president was laid out at the beginning of the administration and tagged ‘Developing the tax profession’.

“The focal points of this administration under the strategic direction of the plan were summarised to encompass connecting with stakeholders; building administrative and technical capacity; as well as strategic communication,” he said. In the last one year, he said, the CITN delegation visited the executive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission; the director-general of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum; the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps; and the secretary-general of Tertiary Education Trust Fund among others.

He said it had relationship with National, Regional and International Professional Bodies; had a courtesy visit by Special Control Unit on Money Laundering; and a courtesy visit by the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals.All rights reserved.
