The assistant director at the CBN office in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, Ayodeji Adeboboye stated this during the bank’s e-naira platform sensitisation
He said the digital platform launched by the former president, Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in 2021 was designed to boost financial transactions through technology in line with global best practices and growth of the economy.
Adeboboye who noted that CBN has taken the sensitization on the e-Naira to 14 universities across the country urged students, management and other higher institutions in the country to key into the financial electric platform for the payment of school fees and other transactions. The sensitisation drive, according to him, became necessary for the students and staff of the state owned institution to save them of usual bottlenecks associated with other payment platforms and to enhance the effective financial transactions in the university community.
