The CanadiensMTL have signed defenceman Noah Juulsen to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
The deal pays Juulsen $700,000 in the NHL and $ 125,000 in the AHL.
Last season, Juulsen collected three assists in 13 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket. The 23-year-old also posted a plus-6 differential and served four penalty minutes. In his NHL career, the Surrey, B.C., native has two goals and six points in 44 games with the Canadiens. In November 2018, Juulsen was hit in the face with two shots in a 12-minute span during a game against the Washington Capitals, causing him to miss the remainder of the season with vision issues and migraines.
Juulsen appeared briefly with the Rocket for a few games starting in October 2019 before taking additional time to recover from lingering symptoms. He made his triumphant return with Laval in March shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic halted the remainder of the season.canadiens-sign-defenceman-noah-juulsen-one-year-two-way-extension
