BREAKING: PDP NWC Members Back Udeh Okoye as Secretary, Recognize Fubara as Rivers Leader

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party's National Working Committee have declared their support for the Appeal Court ruling affirming Rt Hon Sunday Udeh-Okoye as the PDP's National Secretary.According to PDP National Treasurer, Mr Yayari Ahmed Mohammed, 14 out of 17 members of the NWC are in support of Udeh-Okoye’s leadership.Mohammed was speaking on behalf of his colleagues to newsmen at Government House, Port Harcourt, where he met with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

As you are aware, up to this moment, there is no any court that set aside the ruling of the Appeal Court, and this is a case that they don’t have any stay or whatever. 14 of us, members of the NWC are in agreement to work along with the present the National Secretary of the Party”. Yayari declared.Mr Yayari affirmed Governor Fubara as the leader of the PDP in Rivers State, in line with the party's policy that sitting governors are automatic leaders of the party in their respective states.
