The national deputies of the Peoples Democratic Party , have disclosed the party's stance regarding its chairmanship and secretary positions.Speaking on behalf of the deputies, Deputy National Youth Leader Timothy Osadolor on Wednesday said the party's constitution and existing court rulings must be respected. He said that Ambassador Umar Damagum remains the party's Acting National Chairman until December 2025, as supported by subsisting court judgments.
He stressed that the party's constitution and court rulings must be adhered to and that alternative views would not be tolerated.The PDP has been embroiled in various crises, with the recent one being the legal tussle over the position of National Secretary.It can be recalled that the Southeast zone of the party nominated former National Youth Leader Sunday Udeh-Okoye to replace Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

PDP Protocol Officer Assaults Journalist For Attempting Access to SecretariatEmmanuel Okoronkwo, a protocol officer with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), allegedly assaulted Ndubuisi Orji, a journalist with The Sun newspaper, for trying to enter the PDP national secretariat. Eyewitnesses report Okoronkwo physically prevented Orji from entering the building and later attacked him with slaps and other forms of violence.
