Boko Haram: Over 40 killed in Nganzai attack – Locals
Nganzai, a local government in northern Borno and few kilometres to Maiduguri, the capital, came under attack earlier before the insurgents moved to Monguno where they were repelled by the Nigerian military.
According to the residents, local vigilante and hunters were left to engage the insurgents, who came with more superior fire power and overwhelmed the fighting men, leaving trails of blood.Bukar Gonimi, a resident of Nganzai, who narrowly escaped told DAILY POST that there were no security operatives in the town when the militants attacked.
