Secretary to Delta State Government, Patrick Ukah, has urged members of the task force on decongestion of Benin-Asaba Expressway to be committed, thorough and diligent in the discharge of their duties. Ukah, who is also the Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Taskforce on Traffic Decongestion, said this in a statement in Asaba, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

According to him, the essence of the task force is to enable motorists and other road users experience hitch-free vehicular movement during the Yuletide. “To nip such situations in the bud, Delta and Anambra states collaborated to set up traffic control task forces in their respective states. “The terms of reference for the task force include: educate motorists, deploy adequate road signs, directional signs, barricades, tow-trucks to cater for commuters in distress, among others,” he said.
