Bandits attack: Sokoto gov condoles with victims, donates cash

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, on Tuesday, visited the three communities that were attacked by bandits last Saturday.

He however donated cash and grains to families of those who lost their lives during the attacks as well as those who lost their properties.

He also assured that his administration will pay the medical bills of those admitted to the hospital because of the injuries sustained during the attacks. THE PUNCH reported that over 30 persons were killed in three villages in Tangaza local government area on Saturday. The attackers also burnt down houses and vehicles in the communities whose offences were their refusal to pay levies imposed on them.

The governor was accompanied by the former governor of the state and the leader of the APC in the state, Aliyu Wamakko, while the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, led other traditional rulers.All rights reserved.
