The Adamawa State government has debunked claims that it denied the All Progressives Congress the Ribadu Square in Yola for the inauguration of its campaign. A statement by the state governor’s press secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, late Monday, revealed that the venue was approved for the national campaign team of APC to hold its presidential rally on January 18, 2023.
The statement titled, ‘The Politics Of Venue And Realities On The Ground’ partly read, “The Adamawa State Government has described as frivolous accusations in the social media that the governorship campaign team of the State All Progressives Congress was denied the Ribadu Square for the flag-off of its campaign.
“For the records, the Government had graciously approved Mahmud Ribadu Square to the national campaign team of APC for its Presidential campaign rally in Yola on the 18th of January, 2023 which will have the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari in attendance.
