It is adding to its stable of Aussie assets, acquiring the data centre operator in a deal worth up to $100 million, via its portfolio company iSeek.
Mid-market UK-based asset manager Amber Infrastructure is expanding its suite of Aussie assets, doing its second deal in a month.
Led by founder Scott Hicks, YourDC provides data centre co-location and connectivity services to government, defence, and enterprise customers. Currently, it offers South Australia’s only Tier three rated data centre facility, but NextDC is currently building its first location in the state. “People are being a little more cautious about where things are going, but there’s been no material change... people are looking 10 to 20 years forward rather than one to two years,” he said.More deals to comeThe YourDC purchase also follows Amber teaming up with DIF Capital Partners to buy NSW-based locomotives and wagons leasing business
Having done numerous deals in this area, he said the fund was keen to do more public-private partnership investments in the next year, and it is currently participating in some government processes.
