Youths of Ikot Abasi Council in Akwa Ibom State have commended President Muhammadu Buhari for siting a Federal University of Science and Technology in their area, saying the gesture will accelerate development of the area and provide jobs.
In a rally organised by the South-South Assembly of Nigeria, Eket Senatorial District, at the council headquarters yesterday, leader of the group, John Ayang, described the gesture as ‘magnanimous.’At the rally, in which many youths and elders of the area marched through major streets, the people said the Federal Government had been showing love to the area, as it had approved the siting of Liberty Oil and Gas Free Zone and a fertiliser blending company in the locality.
