Akwa Ibom government threatens to revoke road contract in Eket
Commissioner for Works in the State; Mr Ephraim Akparawa Inyang-Eyen, who gave the warning during his unscheduled inspection tour of ongoing road projects in the state said, revoke of the contract became necessary due to slow pace of work by the contractor handling the project.
According to him, “Udom Emmanuel administration is determined to speed up the completion of all road projects to ease the hardship being faced by residents. The Works boss, however, appealed to residents and motorists plying the road to exercise patience, assuring that government was doing all within its capacity to ensure all projects were completed before the end of the administration.
