Announcing the appointment in a statement on Friday, chairman of the company, Mr. Soga Owoeye, hinged Adebayo’s choice on years of proven professionalism and quality media management.
An alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife, Osun State, Adebayo started his career with the Independent Communication Network Ltd, publishers of The News magazine, PM News and the defunct Tempo magazine in 2001 before joining Independent Newspapers.Adebayo also worked briefly as Senior Investigative Reporter with International Centre for Investigative Reporting and subsequently edited Newsweek Nigeria, Newisssue magazine, Montage Africa and now rested Tempo Online as Editor.
According to the organisation, Adebayo is bringing his rich expertise and experiences to add values to the Abuja City Journal family. He succeeds Mr. Raheem Akingbolu, another highly versatile media manager who recently proceeded on leave for higher studies
