Senator James McGrath says he acknowledges that the ABC “does a good job in parts of Australia” but is becoming “a left-wing blob of boring, woke views” and needs to “get in tune with the quiet Australians”.
Mr McGrath told Outsiders the ABC has a budget of over $1.1 Billion, and “Ita Buttrose was in Canberra this week asking for more money”. “She’s having a laugh, isn’t she?” he said.
“I’ve got a three-point plan – sell off their inner-city headquarters, make sure we have a review of the ABC charter and act, and stop this self-selection process where like-minded ABC people keep recruiting like-minded ABC people. “The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is no longer the national broadcaster, it is becoming the un-Australian broadcaster.” Image: News Corp Australia
