Zoo Gorilla ‘swallows’ N7m; Ajudua ‘swallows’ Bamaiyi’s $8m + Your Responses
This column has previously done a feature on ‘Human Snakes’. That was when, many months ago N36 million went missing at the Benue State office of JAMB. Philomina Chieshe, a sales clerk there alleged that a snake swallowed the money in her office.
The last Sallah celebration saw a large turnout of visitors to the Kano State Zoological gardens, resulting in hefty takings and increased revenue generation. However, some of that money went missing five days after the Sallah. The finance officer of the zoo, who should know revealed what happened to the cash.
I am personally, particularly grieved by this terrible accusation against a gorilla. There have been times when, for whatever stroke of misfortune, human babies have been abandoned in the wild . If discovered by a gorilla, in every occasion the baby would be rescued, adopted and raised among other gorillas for years, until eventually discovered by other humans. That lying accusation is a sorry way to pay back this kindest of animals.
Excuse me please- if that were the case , would not Ajudua, himself a barrister at law HAVE SECURED HIS OWN RELEASE, before ensuring that of the presumed innocent general?
