Scott Mills will take over from Ball 'early' in the new year
Zoe Ball announced on air that she has decided to step down as presenter of the weekday Radio 2 Breakfast Show in December BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball has announced she will be stepping down from her breakfast show after six years.Ball said she is “beyond thrilled” that Scott Mills will take over fronting the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show following her departure in December.
In an official statement Ball said: “After six incredible years on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, it’s time for me to step away from the very early mornings and focus on family. It’s been a privilege. Helen Thomas, head of Radio 2 thanked Ball for “approaching each show with as much vim and vigour as if it were her first”.
