No new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 was been detected in NSW, as Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced up to 30 people will be allowed to gather in restaurants, cafes and parks in the lead up to Christmas | Kaubo

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that, from Monday, hospitality venues can take group bookings of up to 30 people, a tripling of the previous 10-people rule.

Corporate events can now have 300 people at any hospitality venues so long as it complies with COVID-safe restrictions. There were 6,952 tests reported to 8pm Sunday night, a significant drop from the compared 12,985 in the previous 24 hours.NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said she was still concerned there were undetected chains of transmission in the state, particularly west and south-west Sydney.“We can have more confidence in easing restrictions if we achieve very low or no levels of community transmission and everyone has a part to play,” she said.
