The Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) has vehemently denied allegations that it orchestrated an attack on members of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) on Saturday, February 15, 2025. The PDP challenged the APC to substantiate its claims, demanding concrete evidence to convince the people of Zamfara that the ruling party was indeed behind the alleged attack.
\Haliru Andi, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP, responded to inquiries regarding the APC's accusations through a WhatsApp message. He emphasized the need for the APC to provide irrefutable proof by disclosing the names of PDP members allegedly involved in sponsoring the attack and presenting compelling evidence that the assailants were affiliated with the PDP. Andi urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from accepting any claims made by the APC in the state unless they are validated in a court of law. \Furthermore, the PDP called on the APC to exercise restraint and ensure its leadership in the state, as well as its member in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu, who organized an unauthorized assembly in Bungudu town, adhere to the rule of law. The PDP assured law-abiding citizens of Zamfara State that it will cooperate with security agencies to hold Abdulmalik Zubairu accountable for any potential violations of law and order stemming from the illegal assembly he orchestrated with his hired crowd. \The PDP also reminded the APC that the 2027 political campaigns have not commenced and urged them to allow the people of Zamfara to live in peace
