The Zamfara State government has dissociated itself from the reports making the rounds that it had appointed a suspected gunner, Bashir Hadejia as a Governor's aide.
recalls that a letter, dated October 27, 2023, purportedly signed by Mal Abubakar M. Nakwada, the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, alleging that the suspected cross-border criminal was appointed by the state government went viral on Monday. The letter purported that Hadejia was appointed as the Technical Adviser, Mining, under the office of the state. Hadejia was arrested on Monday last week over alleged treason and subversion against the state.
