The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, announced on Tuesday that plans are underway to intensify efforts to combat criminal activities in Abuja. Wike made the statement while inaugurating the construction of a 15-kilometre road from the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway (A2) to Pai in the Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

He commended security agencies for their ongoing efforts to improve the security situation in both the city centre and the area councils.
recalls that on July 5, the minister distributed 50 operational vehicles, equipped with communication gadgets, to security agencies in the nation’s capital.
