The group advises CAN to wait for its own time and stop heating up the polity with untimely demands.
The Muslim Rights Concern has revealed that it is not yet the turn of a Christian to be the President of Nigeria.
The group, reacting to a recent statement by the Christian Association of Nigeria calling for a Christian president for Nigeria by 2023, argued that it was not yet the turn of a Christian based on its calculation. This was conveyed on Monday in a statement signed by MURIC Director and Founder, Professor Ishaq Akintola. He explained that the group is not opposed to the idea of a Christian president for Nigeria, but noted that CAN must wait for its turn.“We believe that it is not yet the turn of a Christian to be the President of Nigeria if we want to go by mathematical exactitude from the time Nigeria began civil rule in 1999,” the group said.
