The All Progressives Congress has written the Independent National Electoral Commission to recognise Bashir Machina as the candidate of the party for the Yobe North senatorial election as directed by the Federal High Court in Damaturu.
A Federal High Court in Damaturu, Yobe State had ruled that Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, is not the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for Yobe North Senatorial District in next year’s election into the National Assembly.
The court then affirmed Machina as the authentic candidate of the party having won the legally recognised primary supervised by the INEC, as Lawan didn’t participate in the election held on May 28.All rights reserved.
