Muktar Adamu, a four-year-old boy of Nahuta community in Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State has been rescued after he was kidnapped last week.

Reports indicated that the rescue effort was made with the support of community members as well as security operatives from the area.

It was also gathered that the four suspected abductors of the minor were apprehended last Friday at Yindiski community in Potiskum town. The suspects, who were allegedly involved in the kidnapping, are said to be in the custody of the police in Potiskum for further investigation. One of the community members who pleaded anonymity, said the kidnappers earlier planned to abduct the father of the 4-year-old boy, Malam Adamu, but their plan failed, so they went away with his son instead.

Meanwhile, effort to speak with the Police Public Relations Officer, Yobe state Police Command on the matter proved abortive.
