Yobe begins disinfection of public places, settlements against COVID-19 [PHOTOS]

The move was in realization of the philosophies of ‘desperate times call for desperate and stringent measures’ aimed at maintaining zero case status of the state.

During the flagging-off of the exercise, the Chairman of the COVID-19 Committee and the State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, said the disinfection was in fulfilment of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s directive in ensuring that the state is free from Coronavirus. According to him the exercise is targeting public spaces such as markets, worship centers , Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government, among others.
