Yobe State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of twenty special advisers by the State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
Leading the debate on the motion, the majority leader of the House, Hon. Nasiru Hassan Yusuf said section 196 of the Constitution empowered the House to make the approval. In their separate contributions, members representing Gujba, Karasuwa and Geidam constituencies, Hon. Bulama Bukar, Hon. Adamu Dala Dogo and Hon. Bukar Mustapha, respectively, noted that the appointment of the special advisers would enable the Governor to provide more capable hands in running the government.
