The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has called on the federal government to take retaliatory measures against the Republic of South Africa for the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans.

Nwodo said the attacks smack of absolute ingratitude on the part of a country, Nigeria sacrificed so much for, adding that instead of allowing it to promote divisive local conversations, government should seize the opportunity to “dramatize our unity of purpose.”The Ohanaeze leader said “The Federal Government must be courageous enough to announce retaliatory measures that will make it clear that enough is enough.
