Dangote on Wednesday joined Nigerians in suing for peace among themselves while kicking against reprisal attacks in the country.

DAILY POST had reported that xenophobia in South Africa angered many Nigerians who stormed various outlets of Shoprite, while calling for a boycott of South African businesses operating in Nigeria.A protester was shot dead by police operatives at the Circle Mall, Jakande in the Lekki area of Lagos State, even as angry mob also set a police van ablaze.Dangote, reacting to the development, condemned reprisal attacks on businesses in Nigeria, appealing to Nigerians to shun hate.

“It is time for Africans to put Africa at the center of its own development, by harnessing our entrepreneurial and intellectual skills. Let us collectively shun hate and reprisal attacks.”
