Enyimba FC have been defeated 1-0 by Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca in the first leg of the African Football League quarter-final.

Although Wydad began as the better side, Enyimba turned the momentum around and almost took the lead early in the game through Mbaoma Chijioke’s brilliant strike which came off the crossbar. The Peoples Elephant will be hoping to upturn the encounter when they travel to the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca, Morroco, on Wednesday.
