Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk, has urged England head coach Gareth Southgate to pick two of his Reds teammates for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar
Liverpool have been in disastrous form in the Premier League and have lost their last two games to Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
“I was surprised to see Trent Alexander-Arnold not starting for England,” Van Dijk told Gary Neville on The Overlap. “They have Reece James and Kyle Walker, who are outstanding, but Trent should, at the very least, be in the squad.
