Niger Tornadoes head coach, Hamza Abarah has stated that his side's failure to take their chances cost them victory against Sporting Lagos. The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a 2-1 defeat in their matchday five encounter against Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Sunday night.
Abarah said his team came up with a good game plan but failed to utilize their chances in the game. 'We tried to come back in the second half but we couldn't take our chances,' he told the club's media after the game.
'As a team, you have to map out your strategy before every game, we came with our game plan but unfortunately we failed to execute it appropriately. 'Football is all about repetition of mistakes for you as a team to adjust and take the day or your opponent. 'The result was the consequence of our mistakes like I said earlier, we will go back to the drawing board and review our mistakes before the next game.' Niger Tornadoes will take on Enyimba in their next game on Wednesday.
