The police have said they did not seal the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja, contrary to reports in the media.
The force made it clear that it deployed its operatives as a proactive measure to maintain peace and ensure there was no breakdown of law and order at the party secretariat.
He stated that the party members and the secretariat staff were at liberty to conduct their legitimate businesses as usual.The ruling party had been engulfed in crisis following the ruling of the Appellate Court upholding the suspension of the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole. Clarifying the situation at the party secretariat, Mba said, “Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force have been deployed in the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, located at Blantyre Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.
