A FILMMAKER and founder of The African Film Festival, Kelechi Eke, has given reasons why the film festival will hold online amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Explaining the idea behind the decision to host this year’s edition online, Eke said, “There was much optimistic desire behind the scenes to reschedule the event due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, we opted to host it online and stream it globally.

Eke also said the 4-day event will kick off on Tuesday, June 2 till Saturday, June 6, with film screenings, online workshops, and training sessions, and TAFF Awards ceremony.
