Osun government on Thursday said it has managed to keep crime rate low, using dialogue with different segments of the society, especially non indigenes residing in Osun.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, while speaking with newsmen on the activities of the agency in the past one year. Oyintiloye, who said the civic engagement team had visited over 1,000 rural communities in the last one year, meeting the residents to know their needs, noted that dwellers of most villages visited had good perception of the current administration in the state.
He then commended Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the directive he gave that all the demands of different communities and groups collated through the civic engagement meetings held across the state should be collected by the Ministry of Budget for inclusion in next year’s budget.
