Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, has called on all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to strictly adhere to the revised Public Service Rules to enhance principles of transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the civil service.
She highlighted the pivotal role of the revised Public Service Rules, unveiled on July 27, 2023, in shaping the administrative landscape and guiding the conduct of public servants.She said: “The idea to hold a service-wide workshop on the revised Public Service Rules was conceived immediately after the approval of the 2021 P.S.R by the Federal Executive Council on the 27th of September 2021.
“Central to the Public Service Rules is the concept of public trust, reflecting the responsibility of public servants to act in the best interest of the communities they serve. Dr. Yemi-Esan stressed the importance of professionalism and excellence, with the rules setting standards for recruitment, promotion, and conduct.
Yemi-Esan urged the directors of human resources to organize mandatory training and retraining programs to ensure officers stay updated with the revised rules and policies. She expressed gratitude for their dedication to efficient Human Resource Management and wished them success in their roles.
