The offering to the Federal Government is the industry’s backing in the fight against COVID- 19.
The benefit is payable to the families or named beneficiary of any of the workers that die in the line of duty including medical doctors , pharmacists/nurses and others .
The cover is for a period of 12 months effective 14th April 2020, the acting, commissioner for insurance, Sunday Thomas, disclosed this over the weekend in a document made available to The Guardian. Confirming this to The Guardian over the weekend in an interview, the Chief Executive Officer of AXA Mansard Health Limited, Tope Adeniyi said only eight million out of 200 million Nigerians have access to health insurance, thereby leaving a deficit of 192 million.
