But does he have a right to control the narrative so completely? This is the question that starts to creep in as the show crosses its midpoint.The hinge here is Libby, who in flashbacks we come to understand was a talented journalist working at a men’s magazine , but after 15 years feels stuck, doing well-regarded work but not getting the plum assignments—like eating live ox hearts or traveling to Cuba—that go to her male colleagues instead.
