Why apologised to AY Makun, Basketmouth reveals | The Nation Newspaper

Award-winning comedian, Basketmouth, has tendered a ‘contentious’ apology to his colleague, AY Makun over their long-standing beef.

Besides AY, Basketmouth also expressed remorse to his other colleagues who may have been hurt or whose careers may have been affected adversely by his actions and actions at different points.

He said: “To all the people in the industry and beyond that I have offended over time, knowingly or unknowingly, I say this to you right now from the bottom of my heart, I am genuinely sorry, please forgive me. “And I want you to know that I have forgiven you for whatever you did or said knowingly or unknowingly. It’s gone, I just want us to leave in peace and harmony.”

Though he didn’t state if the money was eventually paid to him, Basketmouth during his interview with Nedu and others on the ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast revealed AY was paid the money eventually. Basketmouth said the issue of 30k wasn’t responsible for strangling the tiny chance of relationship they would have probably had but AY’s decision to share information that ought to have been privy.
