'A band of heavy and thundery rain expected to develop overnight'
A yellow warning for thunderstorms will come into effect across the country from midnight to 7am in the morning on Monday, August 12.
The forecaster said: "A band of heavy, thundery rain is expected to push quickly east across Northern Ireland early on Monday".The Met Office outlook for Sunday night into Monday reads: "Thickening cloud this evening, perhaps the odd heavy shower by midnight. "A band of heavy and thundery rain expected to develop overnight, frequent lightning possibly an additional hazard. Becoming windy. Minimum temperature 15 °C."They said:
