Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Aminu Alhassan, has disclosed that they have discovered and raided two militant camps in the Bakassi Local
He further disclosed that militant activities have resurged in the state’s coastal areas.
The commissioner recalled with pain that they had attacked and killed some of his marine policemen sometime ago, but that staggering fatality was much on the militants’ side.He agreed that in neighbouring Akpabuyo LGA, piracy and militancy were rife but that they had been contained.
