The Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire, has said the COVID-19 pandemic has taught the country to strengthen its health system.

Ehanire said this at the presentation of personal protective equipment, antiseptic soaps, Face masks and other consumables to the Federal Government through the Federal Medical Stores, Oshodi.

Ehanire said it was unfortunate that the pandemic caught the country and other developed nations unawares. “I think to the best of my knowledge, the government is learning, everybody is learning, health institutions are learning, we need to change a lot of things so that at the end of the day, the purpose for which our hospitals are set up are met. The Federal Government, within the limit of resources at their disposal, has tried their best to manage the pandemic,” Ehanire said.
