Former Governor of Rivers State and Pro-Chancellor of PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Peter Odili, has said the institution is determined to produce professionals in healthcare.
He admonished the new undergraduates to focus on their studies, saying the school had zero tolerance for social vices.
In her address, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Christie Mato, said 198 students matriculated, with approximately 76 per cent in the MBBS programme. Obiorah advised students, who could not study their preferred courses at the university, not to feel unhappy and unlucky, but to remain resilient and see beyond the opportunities around them by keeping faith in their ability to succeed.

Kaduna Governor raises alarm over proliferation of firearms in NigeriaKaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has raised the alarm that about 200 million firearms are in circulation in Nigeria.
