The Kwara Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on the State Government to provide more patrol vehicles for 24-hours surveillance.

The Commandant, Mr Muhammed Ibrahim, made the appeal while fielding questions from the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Ilorin.

“There are rampant cases of theft, vandalism, cultism and kidnap across the state which needs immediate attention, for the people to have rest of mind while going about their various businesses. “We have the personnel in NSCDC to curb insecurity, the only challenge we have is logistics, especially the lack of enough patrol vehicles.

The commandant however said that the national headquarters of NSCDC had been informed of the need for more patrol vehicles for quick response to distress calls.
