‘We feel betrayed’ — Wase, Betara protest APC’s nominations for n’assembly leadership positions | TheCable
A group house of representatives members and speakership hopefuls, has protested against the nominations by the All Progressives Congress for leadership positions in the national assembly.
The ruling party chose Godswill Akpabio, a former minister of Niger Delta affairs, and Jibrin Barau, senator representing Kano north, for senate president and deputy respectively. “Your excellency, sir, that is the crux of the matter and we feel betrayed by that action. We feel that as if our contributions are not recognized, we feel as if we are not members of this family,” he said.“Your excellency, my brother Betara is eminently qualified but he should step down because we have a vice present there.
