The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has stated that the group has no intention of disrupting election in Igboland in 2023.

IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement on Saturday, said there is no truth in the claim circulating that the group planned to disrupt election in 2023 in Igboland.Rather IPOB accused the federal government of masterminding insecurity in the South East, with the hope of causing fear and accusing it’s members of such plans .
