The 14 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Abia State has debunked allegation that its officers arrested 40 IPOB members on Friday

The Commander of 14 Brigade, Brigadier General Solomon Kumapayi and the Brigade spokesman, Iliya Dauda couldn’t be reached for comments at the Tuesday time of this report but a source in the brigade who preferred anonymity denied such allegation.When contacted, the Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon denied arresting 40 persons.
Okon however said that they only arrested four persons with guns in Umuahia around the busy Okpara Square through the efforts of its officers on duty in the area. The State Police Chief also said that there was nothing to identify the suspects as IPOB members, unless IPOB is claiming that they were their members
