Zimbabwe head coach, Baltermar Brito claimed he selected the best players for the country's upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria. Brito named a provisional 28 man squad for both games on Wednesday. The Warriors will face the Amavubi and Super Eagles on November 15 and 20, respectively.

Both games will be played at the Huye Stadium.

'I’m happy with the team and I’m happy with my decision to assemble this talented group of players that will represent Zimbabwe in the world cup qualifiers,' the Brazilian was quoted by Zimbabwe Football Association official website. 'I did analysis on each one of them, they are exceptional players and are valuable assets to the team.' Zimbabwe will also face Benin Republic, South Africa and Lesotho in the same group.
