National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon said Metro Manila cannot escape from water interruptions as long as the country has no other water sources.
Esperon stated amid the water interruptions Metro Manila is currently experiencing due to the low levels of water at Angat and Ipo dams.
“We also saw the shortage because there is supposed to be a production coming from Laguna Lake but that has not yet been totally put in place. Each one of them is supposed to get 100 million liters a day from Laguna Lake but they were not able to do that,” he added. “So for as long as we are not able to add more to the volume in Angat, then we would have this problem in as much that we do not have control over rains and the weather,” he added.
