The Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria has lamented the delay in the payment of Visionscape debt to its members.
He further called for the review of all remittances to the state government to allow members to remain afloat in the face of local and global inflationary effects on doing business in Nigeria.
Adebola added that a review of the remittances to the state government would bring succour to AWAMN members. He said, “We pray that government ensures sustainability of the operations and businesses of our members in low and low-low-income areas, thereby creating equal opportunities to make their businesses profitable and bankable. The international models and best practices should be adopted as Nigeria or Lagos State cannot operate in isolation.
Meanwhile, Sanwo-olu, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of Environmental Resources, Dr Omobolaji Gaji, said population growth would continue to place waste management at the top of our development agenda. All rights reserved.
