As the war on drugs intensifies, one hundred and forty-one suspected drug traffickers have been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law
The suspects, comprising 138 males and three females, were arrested across the 17 local government areas of the state between July 2022 and June 2023.
According to him, about 304.5kgs of Cannabis Sativa and 125.5kgs of psychotropic substances were recovered from the suspects, while 427.95kgs of tramadol, codeine-based cough syrup, and diazepam injections were seized, last year, in the state. The Commander maintained that the anti-narcotic agency remains committed to combating the menace of illicit drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
